Lady Pirate Softball is Officially Underway
Spring is here, and CVCC Lady Pirates Softball is officially underway. The 2026 season opened on February 7 at CVCC against Gadsden. Excitement is high as the Lady Pirates take the field.
A talented sophomore class provides promise for this season. Carlee Davis continues to anchor the team behind the plate while returning as a powerful hitter. Whitlee Harden is ready to compete after battling with an injury this fall. Mallory Lyons is set to lead the pitching staff following a standout offseason in the weightroom. Courtney Niles continues to show improved speed, strength and confidence at the plate. Savannah Rourk brings leadership, and reliability proving critical in key moments. Addisyn Mease is a steady force at second base and one of the team’s most consistent hitters. Ashley Flurry returns stronger than ever after a season of injury, bringing intensity, leadership and impact both at shortstop and in the outfield.
This freshman class brings energy, versatility, and depth. Anna Hillmer contributes at both catcher and shortstop, while Jenna Fox provides power at third base. Madison Kemp has proven to be one of the team’s top hitters and adds depth across the field. Lanei McDanal leads in center field with speed and power. Local standout Emily Jones will be a key contributor in the circle while Addison Little adds consistency as a hitter, pitcher, and outfielder. Emmah Clement and Lexi Thomas bring competitiveness and strength on the mound, while Lacey Barnes and Jaiden Reid add athleticism, and depth at the plate.
Several players are currently working through injuries but remain important to the team, including Hannah Davidson, Renae Guttormson, and Dixie Hodge.
With a strong mix of experience, youth, and leadership, the CVCC Lady Pirates are ready for an exciting 2026 season.
