Bio

LaToya Jackson brings a wealth of experience and a passion for player development to her role as Assistant basketball coach for CVCC. A former player with a decorated career from middle school through junior college, Coach Jackson has earned multiple recognitions, including Regional Tournament MVP and Super 12 accolades. Her transition into coaching began as a junior at Troy State University at Charles Henderson High School, where she served as an assistant coach from 2003 to 2005, leading the team to regional championships.

Coach Jackson continued her coaching journey at Dothan High School from 2006 to 2008, where her contributions were instrumental in securing area and regional championships, as well as reaching the final four playoffs in 2007. Her commitment to developing young athletes extended beyond school teams as she took on the role of Director at SRSA Travel Sports from 2007 to 2016. Under her leadership, the program achieved multiple tournament victories and saw over 20 student athletes advance to collegiate basketball.

Returning to high school coaching, Coach Jackson served as an Assistant Varsity Coach and Head JV Coach at Enterprise High School from 2020 to 2022. Her efforts resulted in successful playoff berths and significant advancements in player development. Currently, as a Sports Performance and Mindset Coach, Coach Jackson empowers athletes to enhance their on-court performance and mental resilience, with many of her athletic clients advancing towards college athletics.

Coach Jackson's coaching philosophy is centered around teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, both on and off the court. She is dedicated to developing the whole athlete, emphasizing technical skills, mental acuity, and physical strength. Her approach prioritizes individual growth within team objectives, fostering an environment of adaptability and continuous improvement while promoting a positive and inclusive team culture, ensuring every player feels valued and supported on their basketball journey. Coach Jackson's extensive experience and proven track record of developing successful athletes will serve as a significant asset in her role as Assistant Basketball Coach at CVCC. Her history of leading teams to championships illustrates her ability to cultivate winning strategies and foster athletic excellence.
